TORONTO ADVENTURES (Dinner Theatre)
Written by Lindsay Kyte
Original Songs by Ian Sherwood
Directed by Joan Sullivan

When the East Coast meets Toronto, neither will ever be the same. An aspiring actress/writer moves to Toronto and is hit in the face with just what an East Coaster she is. Who knew you had to walk left/stand right on the escalator? Or that "dinner" is "lunch" and "supper" is "dinner?" As our heroine begins to write e-mails back home to family and friends about her "adventures," her life becomes ever more complicated and fabulously outright downright heartwarmingly funny. This wicked take on life 'away' is meant for anyone from anywhere who's ever made a move to anyplace.
This comedy is written by noted maritime playwright Lindsay Kyte. The Toronto Adventures is based on her real life adventures. The Toronto Adventures e-mails have been published in various newspapers, including The Toronto Star, and have become a comedic Internet series, a blog and a stage play of the same name, which has been produced at various venues across Atlantic Canada.

THE FIXER UPPER
Written by Lorne Elliot
Directed by Berni Stapleton

Bruno MacIntyre wants to take charge of his own life, but Aunt Tillie doesn't think that's a very good idea. What could be better comedic entertainment than summer in Newfoundland, ensconced in a ramshackle cottage renovation and ongoing familial manipulations? If only the younger generation would listen to the likes of Aunt Tillie. If only Bruno wasn't deluded that he was a reno expert. If only life's plans always worked out the way we think they should. Brilliant comedy from one of this country's most prolific comics.
